Logan realized the only way to save them would be to try to escape further into the future, but he knew that meant he couldn’t save Gage because only Celestra can light drive into the future Logan said: ‘The future is going to play out whether or not you know in advance what happens.’ But I’m not sure if it was his intent to kill Skyla also or just frame her for Logan and Gage’s murder by using her Mustang, as her punishment for not abiding by the covenant. I think Marshall wanted to kill two birds with one stone (or car lol): Logan as revenge for stabbing him with the spirit sword, and Gage as a twisted way of giving Skyla what she asked for in keeping Chloe away from him forever…and Marshall sicced the wolves on them as he warned Logan he would. I was up to speed with all the twists and turns until…Chapter 77…I was like, "Whaaaa? WTH?" But I’m going to try to take a stab at it anyway… “We could return from sand if we had to-form into a beautiful mosaic of glass that told our story in colors,” is the most beautiful metaphor I’ve ever read in my life. Your writing is captivating and your talent for telling un-put-downable stories was definitely showcased in this book. To be honest, I thought BURN was as good as this series was going to get, but I’m so glad you’ve proven me wrong with VEX.
